Metabolic Peels · Scientific contribution
A personal approach to metabolic peeling, presented on stage and demonstrated with physician participants in Kochi during DASIL 2026.
A personal scientific contribution, documented through authentic photographs from the congress.

A scientific contribution · Three key points
Dr Alain Tenenbaum presented his approach to metabolic peeling, focusing on cutaneous metabolism, cellular stimulation and epidermal barrier integrity.
Selected Swiss-made formulations were demonstrated with physician participants, including 30 min Peel Off on one hemiface and Microabrasive Sand Cream on one hand.
At 30–45 minutes, Dr Tenenbaum reports differences in luminosity, skin texture and softness, assessed through visual inspection and touch.
Observations from congress demonstrations and participant feedback; these do not establish long-term outcomes or comparative superiority.
01 · Scientific contribution
The faculty announcement lists Dr Alain Tenenbaum’s chemical peeling lecture for 23 October 2026. Its focus is a biological approach to peeling: cutaneous metabolism, cellular stimulation and epidermal barrier integrity.
Examining the biological rationale behind metabolic peeling and its relationship to conventional peel classifications.
Considering epidermal integrity and barrier recovery as topics for scientific discussion.
Sharing a clinical perspective within an international congress dedicated to dermatology, aesthetics and surgery.
These are the announced themes of the contribution. This editorial does not report comparative trial results or establish superiority of a technique.
02 · Immediate observations · Kochi · 23 October 2026
At the Merz booth during DASIL 2026 in Kochi, Dr Alain Tenenbaum demonstrated selected Swiss-made formulations used in metabolic peeling protocols. He reports immediate visible and tactile changes in luminosity, skin texture and softness, assessed at 30–45 minutes. The two examples below document treatment of one hemiface and one hand, with the corresponding area for direct observation.
Peelings made in Switzerland
Designed for a broad range of skin types. Dr Tenenbaum explained in his scientific presentation that the majority of metabolic peels are designed for all skin types. The documentation on chemicalpeeling.com presents 30 Min Peel Off for all skin types and Microabrasive Sand Cream for all phototypes. Product selection and application remain adapted to individual skin condition and professional assessment.
Dr Tenenbaum reports a marked difference on visual inspection, particularly in luminosity and skin texture, together with an appreciable difference in softness and smoothness to the touch. He reports that all physician participants in these demonstrations were highly satisfied with the immediate appearance and feel of their skin.
These are Dr Tenenbaum’s reported observations and participant feedback at 30–45 minutes, supported here by photographs from his personal collection. This congress demonstration documents immediate observations; it was not a controlled clinical study and does not establish long-term outcomes or comparative superiority. The photographs document different stages of the demonstration and are not presented as a standardised before-and-after series.

04 · Editorial principles
Scientific education should encourage critical appraisal, transparent disclosure of relevant interests and a clear distinction between educational content and product promotion.
This page is devoted to Dr Alain Tenenbaum’s scientific participation. It is an IPSC editorial account, rather than an official report on the whole congress. Participation does not imply endorsement of a manufacturer, product or other speaker.
Metabolic peels · Understanding the contribution
His presentation explored metabolic peeling through cutaneous metabolism, cellular stimulation and epidermal barrier integrity. It presented his scientific and clinical perspective on the biological rationale of these protocols.
Dr Tenenbaum explained that the majority of metabolic peels are designed for all skin types. The product documentation cited in this article presents 30 Min Peel Off for all skin types and Microabrasive Sand Cream for all phototypes.
This does not mean that every formulation or protocol is appropriate for every individual. Product selection and application require professional assessment of the skin condition and the relevant product instructions.

At 30–45 minutes, Dr Tenenbaum reports differences in luminosity, skin texture, softness and smoothness, assessed through visual inspection and touch. He also reports high satisfaction among the participating physicians.
The documented demonstrations involved 30 min Peel Off applied to the male participant’s left hemiface and Microabrasive Sand Cream applied to the right hand, with the corresponding areas left untreated for observation.
The photographs document a congress demonstration and different stages of application. They are not presented as a standardised before-and-after series.
The immediate observations and participant feedback reported here do not establish long-term outcomes, suitability for every individual or comparative superiority. The demonstration was not a controlled clinical study.
